Where's my handphone?!

Sending my hp to repair today seems to be a mistake as i have no preparation to get a spare hp. First of all, it was a pretty rash decision. Secondly, i'm currently employed and without a hp as a communication tool is definitely not going to help during the course of work.

Headed down to Nokia Care centre @ Causeway Point and expected the queue was very long as it's a weekend too. I guess there are also people who can't afford to fork out time during the weekdays as they are working. Whatever it is, the waiting time was around 80 mins. Zzzz

Since i had it expected, of course there are plans to meet the expectation. I headed down to the library nearby and got myself a book to read.

Yes, you didn't see wrong. I got a book to read. Well, don't be too fascinated yet as the book(s) i got hold were the True Singapore Ghost Stories by Russell Lee. Hahaha

Anyway, i also borrowed a non-fiction book and that relates to me very closely, or rather my alias.

I borrowed a damn thick book title MI6. In case you all have no idea, it's an intel book. I thought it was cool and upon seeing the title, I just picked it up and borrowed without even thinking twice. Well, this shows that i am interested in intel job and why did i end up over IT job instead?

Guess what? PAP was even mentioned in the book. What's the content? I'm not sure.. I haven't finish yet.

Ok, back to the Nokia thing. I went back as i thought it was pretty near my queue no. But to my disappointment, it was still way off. 9 person before me. So, I had to wait there.

Got a big surprise when i was at the service counter. My 'daughter' was there! And we were served by the same customer officer.

Well, other than that, nothing big or special happen. Just sent my hp in to repair. Coming to think of it, they should had done so as the staff at Wheelock branch forced me not to send in.

Come to think of it, i should had make a complain. But that's about Weida, he's just a nice guy! :)

Alright. MSN is one way to connect to me or my resident line. Maybe email or my tagboard. Ehhh, come to think of it, i think nobody would want to contact me too.

Whatever it is, that's just in case.

Concluding

I'm always very fascinated about language and its histories & backgroun behind it. It also shows how human movement had been all the while.

I'm a chinese so naturally i focus on my mother tongue.

Since sec 3, i came in touch with common foreign songs in Asia. Other than english, languages like Thai, Japanese, Korea were in my songlist.

As i grew older and start to observe things, I realised that all these 3 languages have some common meaning of same words and even in writtings, of course the minorities of the words. The majorities of the words are changed or evolved to show their orignality of their each own 'country' after one or other reasons why they left their own orignal groups of their ex-ethnics.

In addition to the languages, things like cultures are closely related even till today. The more i know, the more i am interested and curious of how my descendants moved from 'probably, China*'

where * represents the own idea of the author and has no political agenda

Just to continue, from the recent friends that i made in thailand and learning some thai words and watching movies (with translation).

Words like 'Really' in chinese and thai meant the same, as for the pronunciation it's the same too, except that it's in Hokkien.

Words like "World" in chinese and japanese meant the same too, except that the pronunciation is in Hokkien.

Well, as for culture. These 3 countries had deep root of their past. King, Queen, Princes, Princesses exist in these countries and Yellow/Golden color was chose to be their 'official' color. And they have the similar building structures for the King/Emperor.

Enough of the saying and i think u all got what i meant.

Again, if i was given a chance to be part of the investigation team to unveils more histories of the human being movement in Asia, i will be more happy to be part of it and hopefully with my curiosity and interest would put out more theories on making new discoveries.

Come to think of it, i'm in year 2007 and didn't most of the histories had been discover?

Happy Boxing Day

I always thought that Boxing Day was a day for boxing, literally. It was like boxing others around! Haha, how silly i was. Now i know the real meaning of it.

Spare the introduction of the terms 'boxing day'. Go right to main details then.

Went to look for ST, LM, Kok and Qing at parkway parade after work. Went to buy things with them for the xmas later in the evening.

Settled everything and went to his house. Congratulations to Qing that she passed her driving test. Sun Tian was quite nervous when he passed the driving well to Qing. Haha. Can't blame him for that.

Assisted in preparation of xmas celebration, with her mum in as well. So, finally, everything was up on the table but it was a shortlived for me as I left the place shortly.

Went off from Sun Tian's house and reached Selin's. Missed out the celebration last year so I have to be back this year.

Watched DVDs and playing board game over there, while also helping out to have food.


I couldn't understand the craving for Ben & Jerry's Ice cream until i ate it! So nice was that i 'advertise' for them. Forget about the ugly and unpresentable 'model' used for this 'advertistment'. The bottom line is that; the ice cream was good as i nearly finished the whole tub myself!


Not to forget the log cake which is indeed taking up the shape of a log. OMG, it's so nice. Well, definitely not from Prima Deli's :)

Year-End Summary

Year 2007 is coming to an end with Year 2008 already with its right hand knocking on the door. A summary of this year ongoings and generally, it had been a good one after all. But of there, there are bad things as well. Somehow, I just couldn't think of what it is.

Like i said, year 2007 had been going well for me and i must stay i had enjoyed a lot this year.

Before heading to the main points, I just want to side track it a bit. It was a fantastic feeling for me to buy 4 items at a cost of $133.

Got 2 shirts with $13 and $39 respectively and 2 pairs of shoes with $39.95 each.

At least, i feel the money is worth spending and for its value.

Friends

Friends had been quite fantastic all the time. And much to my surprises, they made me usually happy all year round. People like the East Coast gang - ST, LM, Raq, KB + many more, had been hearing my complains all year round. Or rather been hearing those since they know me.

Made some new friends as the months went by. Caosheng, Pin, Joshua, Jennifer, Gui jie are those friends who also hear me out which i think was unbelievable. For someone whom we just knew.

Next was people like my twin. Entertaining my life as well.

My poly classmates were rather stagnant for most of this year until recently we got up in contacts. And they are still a group of wonderful friends.

Really appreciate these people in my life :)

Events

Started the (lunar) year with a bang as i strike lottery, though it wasn't a lot, but most importantly signified a good start of the year. Work in NS was good at that time with 9 more months to finish my service, and 10 reservist cycle to go :'(

Then made 3 trips to thailand with 3 different groups of people. Well, i guess, it's just for a single reason. But it was still fun back to the same area, place with different people. They just did stupid things at time. But i like it.

Get down to a temporary job. Pay was rather good. Working after normal hours is even better. I can easily earn a gross salary fo $2000+ a month and learning new things too. Got a permanent job deal with the assistance of the permanent colleagues there, I must say i am ashamed of myself.

Whatever it is, I am under no illusion that i am very lucky generally throughout the whole year. What comes down, must go up and vice versa, I will ride on this good luck as long as possible.

So, start to wear a RED UNDERWEAR on your new's year day!!

Shall not move to other sections like love, or career, etc. It's something that for now i am unable to see it as i still want to further my studies.

Future

I'm quite gloomy of my future though. I am quietly confident that I had the ability to pull it big in the future, but as of now, i am unable to know the ways of doing it so, which is to say i am pretty lost.

Going for further studies in 1.5 to 2 years time. Considering part time studies too as my initial plan was to go for full-time studies. Venturing into IT job as well, in case i need to fall back on something, this is something i can do.

Went for fortune-telling some time back, he said that I have a boss life. I take it as an encouragement as to make me to have a belief that I can make something big in my life.

I still love my friends.. Regardless of new or old one. My life could have been more difficult without them around.

Thrill of Thai

This entry is break down into 3 sections. Mainly about pre-event, the event itself, and the post-event

Of course, let's start off with the pre-event.

Pre-event

1 week before the trip, I was busy doing Overtime (aka OT). Working for more than 18 hours a day for the past 4 days. First thing foremost, i am not desperately claiming any OT money which is 1.5x the rate of my normal salary. Anyway this is not the key messages.

The main point is of this section of the blog is that I intend not to tell my parents that I would be going to thailand. It is because whether to tell her or not, I would be scolded. Alright, I know it's not right of me to do that. Anyway, given a choice, i would rather tell my parents. The reason for not telling her is that for not trusting me; thinking that i am going to find prostitute over there.

Stayed over at ST's house and it's so nice of him to wake up early in the morning to drive me down to Budget Terminal to await for my flight.

Met up with my trip people after a light breakfast with Han's over there. We took our time and we were one of the last group to enter the plane.

At the Departure hall.

No operating of electronic items while on flight, thus, there is nothing to show you all. We entered the 'black hole' where there wasn't any air, according to my friend. It was terrifying. I never met such an incident before. The plane entered the roller coaster mode and it zoomed down to a lower height with great speed in a very short time. To be very frank, i was cold-sweating. Whatever it is, the incident after that seemed pretty fine because we were ahead of time by 15 mins, probably the 'black hole' pushed us forward.

Event

Reached the airport pretty early, at around 7.50+ am. Get our passport stamped, our face shot, and claimed our baggage.

Morale was raised upon claiming our baggage as I was able to put my 2 unhappiness behind and forget about it for the 3 days.

Whatever it is, I went to buy a prepaid SIM card from DTAC HAPPY. Doing a bit of advertising for them, sending SMS to local line is 5 baht and 6 baht to overseas. As for call, I'm not too sure. But it's still rather cheap for calls.

Paid 450 baht from airport to Samran Place hotel. The hotel that i had been staying for the past 2 times.

SH, SR, Til & gf went AWOL after leaving the airport as their taxi driver was unsure of the location. Communicated via WC, I told them to name some hot tourists spot like MBK, and fortunately enough, the taxi driver knew the place and drove them there. SH, a BKK traveller last year, had some impression of the place and soon enough we met up after they alighted.


Tired when only half a day has just gone by.

Went to 7-11 to stock up our water supply and other necessities and checked-in to the hotel. It was pretty fast that our stomach are demanding for lunch. We headed down to MBK for lunch at my favourite hotspot. The Pizza Company.

Ordered 2 sets of pizza meal and I just realized that we forgot to take any photo. We got ourselves into discussions of the plan for the day.

They got a big space in the middle of the downtown shopping centre where they sell beer! Can you believe it?!

I notified Pin of our presence in the area. Soon enough, we got into shopping mode and started off in MBK, then down to Pathumwan area for shopping. Headed back to hotel and put down our stuff and we waited for Pin to pick us up.

The feeling was pretty interesting, it was like those time when we were meeting up internet friend. Anyway, we never meet prior that day. We chatted over the MSN for a couple of months after ruth's introduction.

Initially we should be going to khaosan road, a pity that the main highlight were closed due to the election pre-requisite terms and condition, therefore, we went to Suan Lum night market to have our dinner and shopping again.

Prior going there, I made a mistake in informing her of our location for her to meet us, due to my ignorance of the layout of the CentralWorld shopping centre. So, the poor her actually went high and low to search for us and spent some unnecessary time in the process of finding us.

My friends were getting rowdy that they actually guessed who's who and even opened an unofficial bet on when and where she would appear from. Gosh. haha, my fault.

Merry Christmas!! Ho! Ho! Ho!

Took some photos of the place and, again for me, we bumped into celebrities. Bumping to celebrities in Thailand is never short for me. During my May trip, I met the female lead actress from OngBak. In my Aug trip, I saw a HK veteran actor in Chinatown. And this time round, I had 2 local celebrities and an important Singapore minister. Wonder if I will meet Tata Young one day. Haha.

Cut the crap. We took taxi down there to have dinner. Met up with Pin's friend. I didn't know how to spell her name, so i better don't. :) We had a good ice-breaker between all. It's quite amazing to see 2 countries people sitting down together and have a nice chat. I would like to emphasize that language wasn't a problem at all. Again, I just realized that we didn't take any photo!!

They went to shop, while I strolled around and Pin went off to work. OMG, i feel so bad informing her that I am coming down and that I was disrupting her working hours.

The night ended just like that. I wanted to go for massaging but everyone is dead tired. So i turned to bed as well.

Woke up the next day early in the morning. Agreed to meet at 0830 hrs before heading down to JJ market, but i think the deadline can never be meet. We met up at around 9 am and we took a cab there.

As usual, looked for aom. Wanted to give her a surprise by showing myself, but she wasn't that. We chatted a week before this trip and she told me that she was tired of going to work, so I had no choice but to sms her thinking that she might be at home resting. Thus, giving my intention away.

The others went shopping while i walked around and then settled down at a drink stall near to her workplace for a couple of hours. Reason being is because my parents don't know that i will be in thai, so, it's wiser not to buy anything from there.

Next, down to ampawa, and unfortunately, aom was unable to join us a trip down there.


After an 1.5 hours ride. We finally reached.

Headed back and reached the hotel at around 11.30 pm. Chatted with her on the journey back, while the rest were sleeping soundly. Haha.


Bought lottery which i nearly strike. Else, i could have 1000 baht.

Had a shower, went for a massage with the rest. Went back to sleep and that's the end of day 2.

Met up at siam. Coz of the traffic jam, we met 2 hours later. YAWN. But never mind, we did meet up in the end. We took some photos at siam paragon and then went around doing some window shopping.

The others went around shopping again. Initially, I was hoping to have a proper lunch at a decent place with Pin, Aom and the rest. Unfortunately, Pin was unable to turn up due to work committment, thus I left the guys to eat while i went for lunch with Aom.


ok, i dun want to you all to think so much other than just we are friends. Pls, and thanks.

Went back to hotel. Packed up. I LEFT MY ADIDAS WATER BOTTLE OVER THERE!!!! Reached the airport. Checked-in. Home Sweet Home.

Post-Event

Had hell time. She knew where i went. I don't have to write too much details as, first, i dun have time to write as she passed on her verdict with punishment, and secondly, i believe you all know how i 'die'.

Maybe i shall dedicate an entry for all the 'punishments' that imposed on me.

Ready to go

Alright. This is nice. Hmm, I really couldn't handle my emotion well. I guess i need really lots of time for it.

Same old 2 issue. But I have decided to let it go le. But i have to admit, it gotta takes time. Coz the guy's name keep appearing every now and then & that also means that she is hinting me to let go of her la. Whatever it is, thanks on her for accompany me today.

The another her is the same as well. Tested her out and she didn't know that i am going across out the sg border this coming weekend.

Though i had tried my best to understand her situation, i simply just can't find certain ans that satisfy me. Anyway, i wouldn't get angry because i think she can't understand. I learnt from the past and calmed myself down and let it flow naturally. But that doesn't meant that i couldn't be bothered about her anymore. Still hoping that we can continue.

Aiya, hope i wouldn't handl all those shits anymore. This is not going to be very healthy to continue like that. Hopefully, my mood will be better after i'm back.

Chalet

No mood to blog. Don't know what to blog either.

First, want to wish my twin a happy 18th birthday. From the look of it, think she had a lot of fun and surprises as well.

Been considering a lot over certain things and i decided to give a final decision. Due to future finance status of my family because of certain reason, I decided to work full time and only to consider to take up some short part time course.

And another thing that I had just decided (at the time of blogging) is to let nature take its course, and which i am not going to say what it is.

I will not be at home this coming thur, fri, sat and sun. I will be staying over at ST's house and will be heading for chalet for the remaining days. As well as contacting me will be a problem too. Anyway, just pray that i will be safe throughout. :)

As of now, I am at my workplace working on certain system patching and it is so cool to work overnight in a relaxing attire and err, i dun meant naked! haha..

Hopefully, i will be free to meet up with deer on wednesday and meeting up with my twin anytime before my chalet seem to be a virtually impossible task.

To sum up, this week is a very exciting, tiring and interesting week.

On saturday, I received a letter from England! Yes, England. Thanks to Ms Seak Janice who sent a Happy Birthday letter.

Then went to Raq's house to slack and she prepared cookies replacing cake for a 'cake-cutting' session. Thanks.
