Hi all, i'm updating my blog through mobile and i'm currently in the midst of war game. This is my first exercise, and so far we all are experiencing new things. Unlucky for me, i'm the first casualty coz i'm happen to be on the main road with no cover. All things were good for a first timer. Update you all later with more details.

War

My last day of official training ends with a simulation of war games. I'm one of the commanders. It's a new experience for me. Hopefully, i'll be doing a good job and everything goes smoothly. On the good thing, thursday will be my last in-camp training. And there wouldn't be training on that day. On friday, i'll be going to PNSD for meeting and to take this chance to find my ex-colleagues.

4 more days

4 more days to end my reservist 1st cycle.

Nonetheless, i can also request to downgrade my PES status and discharge me from KINS. My backache is giving me pain so easily. With the SBO, in 10 mins time, I felt ache on my back. In addition to that, my knee cap is giving way already.

Chatted with my men during one of the weekdays nite, and we somehow talked about thai trip and was surprisingly coincidence that we could meet.

The thai trip was originally planned on 17th jul to 21st jul 2008 and we intend to take the 6.30 am flight with tiger airways and all of these were met up with his travel plan.

I passed my IPPT test. No gold, no silver, no incentive pass, but only pass.

Shooting test coming on monday, and went through a test shoot today. Horrible. I failed it. This is the only time that i failed my shooting. Damn. It's a do or die situation now. Hopefully i can have $200 from it.

Enough of the reservist thing.

Happy Belated birthday to Clarence.

And just go do whatever things you want to do in your life; do something you think you are right. Do not let what others comment affect your personal life. What over was over. It's a brand new lease of life now.

Thai

I think i still sccumbled my thai "spirit" in me.

After hearing thai languages and the thai in front of me for 2 hours yesterday, I was happily imaging myself to be in thailand.

Sigh.

I hate myself for being that. Those who know the history. It is not about thailand that i hate, it's something related with it.

It's so amazing that everything was not cleanly deleted, after nearly 2 years. Even in the midst of an occupied mind. Though it wasn't a very deep thought. I wonder how long more I need to forget about these totally.

Reservist 2nd round

Seriously, one can't do anything much in the middle of the night in singapore over the weekend except for boozing (they drink a cup or so), supper-ing (other country offered real authentic food), KTV, late-night movie, bowling for my thai friends.

That was what happen last night when I ran out of clues and ideas on introducing places for them to go. Shopping centres are all we have, and practically, it's the same throughout. Just that different places, different designs.

Having supper at these places was fine consider the price, but taking taxi back is a horrible. Enough said of all these.

After the dinner, I went to join my sec sch grp for a proper dinner at Marina Square. Chit chatted for a while and i got message from ccjb and mandy to meet up for supper and late-night out.

Went to the new forest trail walk, which opened in may, last night. It was cool evening. We were joined by a couple of friends in groups of other groups, couples and running enthusiasts. It opened 24-hours for the public to walk, of course, at your own risk.

Finished touring one part of the park and off we go, it was around 4+ am. Seeing the clear traffic, I suggested to drive. Yes, for the 1st time, i drove on road from the park to Jurong via AYE.

Nothing wrong, ok? I got my licence already, i put up the triangle plate.

Alright, set to go. reservist, 2nd round start.

1st Phase of training

All things went good so far.

Came under my charge was 34 SCs and SCCpl and SCSgt. We had intensive weapon training this week. Boosting physical training at the same time. Training all the way from 6.30 am till 9 pm from mon to wed.

It's indeed a difficult task.

And without prior knowledge, gelling up 34 men wasn't an easy task either. Thanks god that the troopers were helpful though there were some naughty. Hope for better improvement next week.

Nonetheless, we all made it.

Pin is in singapore now at my time of this entry

reservist

Ok, this is nice. Serve me right for not signing up for a regular force. Eg, SCDF, SPF, SAF, RSAF, Navy

I'm called up for reservist duty.

This is so boring.

Nonetheless, i can't escape away because my surname is not Lee.

Was catching up with Kenny's sia blog and his entries were really funny.

Tagboard frequency

Talking about kenny sia in my last entry.

and so i am here again, to talk about kenny sia ... and that's a new thing i noticed.

His Tagboard..

There will be a new message at its slowest in every 3 secs; so much that it looks like a chat window.

Please observe the 3 seconds frequency.

So, my readers, do u know what to do?!

SG bloggers VS Kenny Sia blogger

For some reason, I went in and surfed kenny sia's blog. I must say I had the wrong impression of him. All along, I always though that his blog is about arrowing here and there or shooting here and there.

Until...

I read it and found it was so entertaining. Wow, i tell u. It's better than Steven Lim, it's better than xiaxue, it's better than dawn yang (talking about her, I realise that my cousin happens to know her) and it's definitely, it's better than mine!

Ok, back to kenny sia blog. He's amazing. He's a celebrities. Even celebrities, CEO find him. WTH.

Cut the crap. I think even if i don't provide his blog URL, i would have bet that you know it.

Read it! Be Entertained!

Beautiful Week

Had a very interesting week.

Started on the 23th June 2008

I went for my driving test. Thanks to the person who sent their wishes. Raquel, Lek Meng, Sun Tian, Weiqing, Germaine, Janice, Clarence, Mandy, Joshua, Melvin, Lawrence, Yifong, Hsien Ming, Huimin, Jun ming, Aom

The day started well, but it got a bit darker just before i started my warm-up lesson. And i thought it would be a rainy session but shortly after that the sky cleared up and everything went back normal.

Finished my warm up session, and then start the important stuff. My instructor brought me up to the waiting area and await for my test.

Tester got onto the car and he wished me luck and told me to relax and drive like i was learning car. So upon settling down, the tester told me to start off when i felt i am ready. But I observed that he didn't fasten his seat belt

Tester: Ok, you may start if you are ready
Testee: Ok, I shall start now.

Trying to delay a bit and i thought he will belt up but.. no.

Testee: Erm, Sir, do you mind fasten up your seat belt? Because i'm moving off soon.
Tester: Erm, Ok. You may move off now.

Cut short of the details, I was on a borderline deductable mark; with a score of 18. Which means I had passed the driving test.

NICE ONE JAMESBOB!

Ok, this is the highlight of the entry. Even more important than passing my driving test.

On that same week, 26th June, px, ccjb, md and jb would be heading down to bangkok for a 5-days holiday!

Had fun throughout the whole of the trip. From Day 0 to Day 5 and 2 hours of Day 6.

Day 1
Done with the neccessary clearance from Immigration.

Officer: So, do you know how to speak Thai?
Me: Pom puut par-sar tai dai nit-noi, krup
Officer: (Smile a bit) and said dee
Me: Korp kun krup

Puzzled, I asked the others and they said that the officer didn't even speak with them. Omg, i think he saw the frequencies of my visit to bkk.

Holiday is much more better than sex!

Retrieved our luggages and belongings. Bought thai SIM card, have some photo-taking session at the airport. And some of my lame news report clip. All for memories purposes. Took Pin's advise to take cab from the departure hall, as I am able to save almost 50% of the cab fees compared to taking taxi from arrival hall.

That's where experiences come in when I was able to guide through the taxi drivers to the hotel where we would be staying.

Welcome to Ratchathewi (or technically Ratchatevee). Didn't see this previously. Nice erection!

Orientated with the others on the shopping centres, landmarks in our area. We went around MBK shopping centre, Siam Square, Siam Centre, Siam Paragon, Central World & Zen, Platinum on our first activities.

A complimentary cup of some new drinks.

We just spent our first day walking around in the downtown area. And opening the first buying transaction for this trip happened to be ME!

Day 2
Woke up anticipating our planned theme park activities. Took a taxi down to Dreamworld and it was kind of long drive from east to west of SG.

Nothing much to describe as it is more fun to see the pictures than relating to you all in words.

Checking for road direction.

One of the Dreamworld Mascot. So cute!

From tourist to farmer, in Aussie Farm.

My first driving after passing my driving test!

A pose of the "dead"

US gives me respect no more!

Now you know who is the strongest in this world!

Went back to our hotel via mo chit BTS after a long ride of taxi. Practiced my thai language with the taxi driver. And yes, he understood me.

Went to Lek Massage, introduced to me by Ruth from Pin. A staff that knew Mandarin, Thai, English, Cantonese, Japanese. I respect her! An asset to the company.

Waited for Clarence to have his haircut and off we go to Suan Lum Night Bazaar (luckily, it's still in operation) for shopping. Dinner was pretty late as it was past 12 am on the 3rd Day. and we only had some food. For the 1st time in BKK, I felt hunger. haha.

Day 3
Woke up for our shopping! Platinum (pronounce locally as Plat-ti-nam) Fashion Mall proves to be a haven for shoppers and a dormant shopper like me! We spent an average 3 hours on each level. and we had cleanly cleared 3 levels.

Revillie with my room-mate.

Trying to make the same eyes as the eggs. Obviously, i failed.

And soon, darkness falls. We brought all the stuff we bought back to hotel via Tuk Tuk. Rested a while and we set on foot to A&W fast food restaurant.

We saw a group of people who spoke thai, japanese and mandarin sat at a corner of A&W. They seemed to have some kind of meeting. Eeee, it was like the Hong Kong triad meeting.

We made our way our from there after our dinner. Took quite some time for a cab and headed down to Suan Lum Night Bazaar to retrieve things we made from on the previous night. Bought Tattoo Colour CD with 2 songs I like in that album.

The skilled key chain maker.

Hurriedly out of that place as we wanted to ride on the Metro and we had hell a lot of fun from there. The guys wanted to learn one of the sentence i spoke with the thai. The sentence goes like this "pi puut par-sar ang-grit bpen ru bplao". And as any person who started learning a foreign language, one need some familiar language to assist in them and after some time, they came out with this "屁股pass了, upgrade每日嫖"

We were laughing like hell in the train. And I think we roamed around the street before heading back to hotel and sleep.

Day Four
Woke up refreshing and the plan of that day is go to Chatuchak Weekend Market for a sightseeing. Our stuff had more or less completed so there is no further urge to get anymore stuff.

Good foot massage.

The couple had their own agenda thus px and me went off to roam around and decided to go for foot massage. Learnt some thai language from the staff there. Had a comfortable massage. We were joined by the couple and headed to JJ market via Mo Chit BTS.

JJ Market!!

Clarence and I bought our magic tricks stuff over there, at different stalls. We walked around. Didn't really buy anything. Mainly because I had running out of money as well.

Clarence learning "magic".

We had our dinner at JJ mall. We order local delights to fill our stomach. Received a call back from home from my mum telling me that my thai teacher called me. And to update me on what handbags she wants. -.-

Something very pleasing when I checked my account of the ATM machine.

I will go to thailand 3 years later with more money! haha. I just realised it's 6-digit where i told my friends "I was so happy to see that i have 5-digit numbers in baht value."

Caught this spectacular view. Caught rainbow 2 times in JJ Market.

We continue to roam around the market.

We came across Jack Sparrow. Excatly the same. This is what i call - Originally Fake.

Headed straight to Siam Paragon for some reason that I can't remember. Bought movie tickets with mandy treating us. Thanks!!

Headed to Lek massage again for thai massage. I was separated with the others. I unknowingly fall asleep.

Went back to Siam Paragon again to buy dinner from Mcdonald to bring in to the cinema to watch Wanted. Thinking that they might have the same policy in Singapore, we are wrong. They do allow outside food to be brought in. Shame on Singapore!

Paragon Ticketing Booth

Doesn't it look like a hotel pub?

Another shot.

Late night Siam Paragon.

Finished our movie and we walked around the Paragon Cineplex holding area. And the thoughts of watching another movie came up. And we bought another set of movie tickets, watching The Incredible Hulk.

While waiting for the movie time, we roamed around in their bowling centre. Awesome is all i can say. Their interior design is as good as those 5-star hotels and their ball, GLOW in the dark.

Visited their toilet before going in to watch movie, Listerine dispenser is found at the hand washing area. They have mirror in each of the cubicle. How nice it looks. It was more of a hotel than shopping centre.

Took taxi back to hotel from Siam Paragon. Fare? 35 baht. The meter never jumps. It's the same value as the flag-down. How near we were with the hotel and Siam Paragon. Though it was around 1+ am local time, we still did not stop there. We continue to watch soccer when we reached the hotel as it coincides the Final of Euro 2008. It was around 3.45 am thai time when i called it a day.

The longest day I had.

Day 5
Woke up for our breakfast later than the previous times. Prepared our stuff well and checked out at the hotel and our buggages to be kept with them for a while, and the rest went to Siam Paragon Gourmet Market for their local delights shopping. I would rather you to kill me if you want me to shop in Singapore Orchard Paragon.

Went to Blu-O to have 2 games of bowling. 240 baht for 2 games with a rental of shoes.

A shot to 10 pins

Took a taxi and go back to hotel to prepare us to check out. It was 1700 hrs thai time. I was very relutant to return to Singapore.

The room i stayed for the past 4 nights.

This photo was taken with other motive. Ha

The hotel i stayed in. In case it was forgotten.

The bell boy that finally remembered me! Hah

Bell-Boy: Did you stay here before? I remembered you.
Me: Yes, I came here with my friends last year December.

End of the trip. As for the rest, it was too depressing to remember it. I don't want to even talk about it. I hope i can enjoy the days like i was in Thailand, all the while.

Click on here for the photos for the trip.

An astonishing 2.22 gigabytes of pictures and videos were took for this trip. Record Breaking!

Next stop, Vietnam
