Overdue Entry

Last weekdays were as usual dull-less. Not much activities to mention of.

Start of weekend was a bit different. Went out with my 1 year of secondary school friends to celebrate SK's birthday at Partyworld.

Time to meet was delayed from 7 pm to 7.45 pm. Thanks everybody. As i was there at around 7.15+ pm. Waiting down there can be quite stupid. Haha, i will not be early the next time i meet them.

Chit-chatted, sang songs, made jokes to one another, and of course celebrating SK's birthday.

Just also realised that we didn't take any group photos!!

Joan is an unexpected person, as in I didn't know that she was coming. Ok. All i know that she is quite close with sk and vice versa.

To Joan: I don't know why are you so 'formal' when you were chatting with me. I'm not your employer but your friend. So, please don't be so serious when we chat the next time. =)

365 days ago

Guys, guess where was i 365 days ago?

I WAS IN THAILAND!!

Yes, i was having fun over there with my PNSD people and of course to meet Aom.

Ok, that was 365 days ago. Time really flies. I remember I was on time to reach singapore to celebrate my mother's birthday. And of course that's how i remembered my thai trip.

I am quite lazy to flip back whether i mentioned my rate to bkk is. Let me announce:

5 times in 20 months. (and i nearly typed 20 times in 5 months)

Be warned. Do not attempt to break my record!

Ok, my mom's birthday is tomorrow.

Weekend Update

Had a very eventful weekend for this week.

Friday

Flew to New York, New York on last friday to meet up with secondary sch friend and 2 NPCC teacher officers for a dinner. I was the last inclusion for this gathering as i came down from work from the east side and it could be later if i didn't take taxi down. It's horrible taking taxi during peak hours from east to the west. :'(



Chit-chatted until the restaurant closed for the day. It's fun to mention of the old days and i was so full of envy of my past years. It could have been more fun if i am more extrovert than in the past, but nonetheless, my secondary school life was fun. Happy, Sad, scolding teachers and got scolded by teachers, etc.. and all the craps.

Unfortunately, there was no photos to show.

Went out to Holland Village after the gathering dinner. Selin drove me home to put down my laptop bag and drove me again to Gombak mrt. Thanks.

Had a cup of not-so-coffee coffee at The Coffee Club with MJ, SH, SR and WC. Went home via taxi again. Midnight and diesel surcharge. Thanks Singapore.

Saturday

Met up with my mother, Sun Tian, Lek Meng, and Raquel down to Sungei Buloh for a walk in the nature reserve. Woke up pretty early in the morning (and even earlier for the others) for this walk.

Paid just $3 for a bus transport from my house to Sungei Buloh, then to Sheng Siong Hypermarket at Woodlands Point and to just outside my house. With 2 small curry puffs and 2 bottles of 500 ml water. It's a refreshing idea to walk around in the nature reserve.... once in a while. haha

Thanks Sun Tian for driving me all the way to my workplace instead of the arranged drop-off point to get my laptop adaptor. Maybe it's the bad weather condition that he volunteered to do so. Seeing the rainy weather approaching my workplace area. I rushed up to my office, after changing the pass and getting the key, to take my adaptor and then ran all the way to the bus stop. Thanks god. It started to rain as soon as i reached the bus stop.

Sunday

Slept up late in the morning until like 10.30 am. Had 4 pieces of pratas; 1 egg and 3 plains. Went to my uncle's house to visit my cousin's baby who was just born. And my status now has upgraded to 堂叔. Ok it means I had become older too la. Rushed to lot one for movie Money Not Enough 2 with clarence and mandy. A bit of touching story and it wasn't as funny as the previous series.

Walked around the new lot one with them and went home to watch the women table-tennis final competition. A silver medal, not too bad. Clap for them. But i think it was half-hearted play from the singapore side. But for the first time in my life, I saw the Singapore Flag flying. =)

Anyway, this is part and parcel of training. At the end of the training, they sang a song for me. I'm actually quite touched. Like my NPCC days.

Entry

Things had gone pretty bad. I have no idea how to proceed on. Maybe i should let it stablise first. Anyway, over the weekend, I had tonnes of crazy programmes.

First of all, to 'celebrate' National Day @ marina square. It was crazily a lot of people. Man, choose a good spot next time. I bet there are still a lot of places that's uncovered.

Had dinner at Xin Wang HK Cafe. Talked cock for a while and we saw a lot of familiar faces. Ok, maybe coz of the national day celebration.

Drove around singapore in a bid to kill time and more talk cock session.

Actually come to think of it, I am out of touch with my friends.

poly classmate - ccjb & mandy are partner. px & xm are partner. ccjb and px are from the same school. ccjb, px, mandy and sometimes xm joined in their school's activities. So it left me sometimes left out of the grp totally. I have nothing to say. in fact most of the times, i am pretty quiet and left them to talk.

sec npcc - we don't usually meet up. If lucky, once a month. else, it can be a couple of months.

Poly FOC - the usual same people. It's at most meeting them regularly. They are the one whom i meet almost every weekend.

Seriously, i don't know what happen to my circles of friends.

Gotta do something to it.

Anyway i think i shall stop here. I had lost the motivation to blog.

First day of work after reservist

Had my first full working day after my reservist for a period of 1 month. Some of the processes are a bit rusty.

Work was fine today. Chatted with lekmeng, sun tian, and penelope over the msn over my future stuff.

It's nice to see my colleagues. :)

Germaine called me like 5.55 pm and asked me whether can meet up for dinner. That's pathetic. It seemed like i am the backup of everyone's programmes.

hah.

Anyway, i agreed coz her birthday is around the corner and she said she had makeup, so i wanted to see how pretty she is. The germaine i know now is a camwhore. haha. She kept deleting photos citing reasons like eyes are too big, smile is not there; everything isn't enough, etc.

Picture 4 is worst. Purposely went to find a white lighting (which happen to be a staircase) and take a photo. To further complicate the situation, we had a security camera (which meant for security reasons) right in front of us recording our taking-photos actions into their recorder. -.-

Expensive Weekend

Thursday was my last day of my In-Camp-Training (ICT) and it was fun on the whole. Now, i don't feel like going back to work.

First of all, I have to thank to all people; Raquel, Lekmeng, Sun Tian, Weiqing and clarence who responded of my request to entertain me (both directly & indirectly) on the 1st week of the ICT.

Anyway, back to reservist thing. The last day of the ICT was basically returning of items and debrief. I'm touched and stunned with what my troopers came up for me for a song. It rhymed of the tune of "You are my sunshine". I can't understand what did the 34 men are thinking about.

Here it goes:

"Please don't take my sunshine away"

Ok, i know it gave u a goosebumps but despite scolding them with the four-letter word, vulgarities, and showing the middle-finger signs to them, it shows how much they are ok with me.

Went out with weiqing, raquel, kokboon and meeting up with lekmeng at orchard after returning home to dekit the uniform. Unfortunately, sun tian was unable to join us.

Basically, that's for thursday.

Friday, reported back to PNSD and we recee areas as part of our reservist duties. Met up with my ex-colleagues over there and spent the whole day outside. I was forced to buy a new shirt after the PNSD outing as there were stubborn perspiration stain on my shirt. Met up with weiqing and lekmeng again at orchard.

And again that ended for the friday programme.

Met up with the same guys on saturday with sun tian in. Went to city hall and marina square for a walk and for LM to get something for him. Was thinking of buying samsung mp3 player, but ended up buying creative Zen x-fi 8 GB.



S$229 inclusive a pair of red cliff movie, an armband. Think it's not a bad deal.

Sunday was mentally drained. Movie marathon. 10.45 am red cliff at jurong point. Had breakfast prior the movie, and lunch until 2.30 pm and continue to watch The Dark Knight at 2.40 pm until 5.15 pm
